As part of our project, a total of 42 youth workers from seven different countries were brought together. The participating countries were Spain, Latvia, Italy, Bulgaria, Turkey, Georgia, and Romania. The youth workers from each country created a multifaceted learning environment that fostered cultural diversity. Gender balance was taken into account in the development of the participant profile.

The "Don't get addicted to drugs and become detached from life!" project, launched to draw attention to the problem of substance abuse, which profoundly affects individuals, families, and the general structure of society, has been successfully completed. The project aimed to raise awareness among broad segments of society, especially young people, and to strengthen a culture of solidarity in the fight against addiction.

Project Purpose: Don't Remain Silent, Be Aware

The primary goal of the project was to emphasize that substance abuse is a problem that negatively impacts not only the physical and mental health of individuals, but also their families, social circles, and societal structures. In this context, awareness-raising activities were organized for young people, parents, and volunteer youth workers.

Participants learned detailed information about what substance addiction is, how it begins, what symptoms it presents, and how it diminishes an individual's quality of life.

The project emphasized that combating addiction should not be limited to individual efforts; more powerful results can be achieved through community collaboration.
